https://forum.thepcsecuritychannel.com/t/security-vs-freedom/

Understanding the concept of balance between security and freedom or availability is crucial when discussing potential solutions to threats like ransomware/malware. An extreme either way is damaging to the user. While zero-day technologies are absolutely necessary, it is easy to get carried away and forget that security products *need* to distinguish between malicious and safe files. Blocking everything is just the same as allowing everything, only worse.
